JACQUARD SCARF
Jacquard Scarf is inspired by the Jacquard Loom of 1803 which used a punch card system. The Loom led to the development of the first computer which adopted the same punch card system. The scarf features screen printed scanned imagery of my own weavings done on a loom, while on the reverse, a laser cut finish of the punch card pattern. The two sides show both the unseen process of the punch card system and the finished weave, both being graphically interesting to look at.
